Frequently asked questions

Why does @ show no teammates?

First share the conversation with a teacher or administrator. The picker only offers other active staff who already have access to this thread.

Can I search by surname?

Yes. Type @ followed by a first name, surname, or part of a full name. Choose a suggestion to select that specific person.

How do I remove a mention?

Select the small Remove mention button below the comment, or delete the mention from the text. The selected notification recipient is removed too.

Who gets notified?

Selected teammates receive an in-app notification. Leave Email colleagues I mention checked if you also want an email with a link to the thread. The family never receives the private comment.

Can someone with comment access email the family?

No. They can read and add private comments. The owner must give View, comment and reply access before they can send a reply.
