What happens, step by step
- 1 From Dashboard, open Communications and select a conversation.
- 2 Start a reply and wait for Draft saved.
- 3 Write a private staff comment without posting it.
- 4 Open Dashboard or another MarkTrack screen.
- 5 Return through Communications. The conversation, reply draft and unposted private comment are restored.
Frequently asked questions
Can my colleague see my unfinished reply?
No. The draft belongs to its author. They see the email after it is sent, according to their thread access.
What happens to an unposted private comment?
It is kept separately in the current browser tab for up to 24 hours. It is not posted or visible to colleagues until you choose Add private comment. Closing the tab clears it.
Will attachments survive a reload?
Not always. New-email files selected in the browser are kept during navigation in that tab. After a full reload, the composer may ask you to attach them again. Check the attachment area before sending.
What if saving fails?
Keep the editor open, check your connection, and retry. Do not treat an error or Saving message as confirmation that a draft is saved.
