Change an existing question type
Switch a custom short-text question to a long-answer input.

What happens, step by step
- 1 Start on the admin Dashboard; click Enrollments, then Manage Forms.
- 2 Choose Drafts, then click Edit on the form’s row.
- 3 Hover over the custom question and click Edit.
- 4 Change Type from Short Text to Long Text; click Done.
Frequently asked questions
Do choice questions need options?
Yes. When switching to Dropdown, Radio Buttons, or Checkboxes, enter the allowed choices in Options, one per line.
Can I turn an ordinary question into a school picker?
School and program selectors use the dedicated Options settings. They are not ordinary custom-question types.
