Forms for anything, in five minutes

The MarkTrack Team · May 9, 2026 · 3 min read

Every Islamic school runs on forms. Field trip permission slips, after-school program interest forms, parent volunteer sign-ups, iftar potluck RSVPs, weekend Quran club registration, fundraiser pledge cards, transportation surveys, end-of-year photo consent. The list never ends, and most of it lives in stacks of paper at the front desk or scattered across half a dozen Google Forms nobody can find.

MarkTrack now has a built-in form builder for any of it. Build a form, share a link, collect responses, export a CSV. The whole thing lives next to your students, classes, and parents, so you never have to copy a name from one system to another.

Build a form in the time it takes to write the questions

Open the form builder, give it a name, drop in fields, set a deadline. Every field type you'd expect: short text, long text, single-select, multi-select, checkboxes, phone, email, date, number, file upload. Reorder by dragging. Mark required. Done.

Two fields get added for you on every form: Your Name and Your Email. That way every response automatically has a person and a way to follow up, even if you forget to add them.

Share a link. That's the whole distribution plan.

Every form has a clean public URL parents can open without logging in. Hit Copy Link in the dashboard, paste it in your school's WhatsApp group or weekly newsletter, and you're done. The form is mobile-friendly, branded with your school's logo and colors, and parents who walk away mid-application can come back later and pick up where they left off.

Use cases we see on day one with new schools:

  • Field trip permission slips with emergency contact and allergy notes
  • After-school program interest forms for Quran clubs, Arabic classes, sports, robotics
  • Iftar and Eid event RSVPs with headcounts and dietary restrictions
  • Parent volunteer sign-ups for fundraisers, classroom helpers, lunch duty
  • Transportation surveys to plan carpools or bus routes
  • Photo and media consent for the school yearbook or social media

Responses live where the rest of your data lives

Every submission lands in one review screen. Search by name or email, filter by form, export the whole thing as a CSV for the chaperone or treasurer to print and bring on the bus. If the parent who signed already has an account in MarkTrack, the response is soft-linked to their profile so you can jump straight to it.

You also get a notification email the moment a parent submits, and the parent gets a confirmation in their inbox. No more "did you get my permission slip" emails on Friday morning.

Why we built this in

You can already use Google Forms or Typeform. They're fine. But responses live in a Google account that the next admin doesn't have access to, the form has nothing to do with the kid's record, and exporting names back into the school system is a copy-paste job that always misses three families.

Forms inside MarkTrack share the same student list, the same parent list, the same school context. A field trip permission slip knows it belongs to Al Noor Academy. A Quran club interest form knows the kid filling it out. The data is yours, on your school's domain, alongside everything else you already track.

Open Enrollments in the sidebar, hit New Form, and try it. Start a free trial if you don't have an account yet.
